What a fabulous weekend! From chapter meeting to chapter picnic. The Strengthen our Sisterhood committee planned a fantastic event and we had the opportunity to support black vendors. The food and fellowship was awesome. “Rooted in Sisterhood, Rising in Freedom,” was the theme and we’re so grateful that we could share this event with family and friends. ,

The Ivy Hands Foundation in collaboration with Eta Omicron Omega Chapter, successfully hosted its 2nd Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament at Oak Hollow Golf Course on Saturday May 30th, 2026. Special thanks to the Ivy Hands Foundation Committee and volunteers of Eta Omicron Omega for your dedication and hard work. The weather was beautiful and the fellowship was awesome. We appreciate the support from our hole sponsors, donations received and players! Funds raised from this tournament will go towards the Ivy Hands Foundation Scholarship Fund for students in the Guilford County and surrounding areas.

The members of the Empower Our Family Committee hosted a Senior Resource Fair at the Roy B Culler Senior Center. The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office hosted a workshop that focused on avoiding being a victim of scams.

Several vendors provided resources regarding adult education, end of life care, caregiver support, adult daycare, funeral services, and financial services. The City of High Point and the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office also provided resources that are available to the community. There were over 18 vendors in attendance and 125 attendees.

Thank you to our committee chairman Linda Murphy and Tiffany Good-Simmons for your leadership and to our Empower Our Family committee members for making this event a success.

Please join us for our 3rd Annual Empower & Elevate Senior Resource Day. This event is open to the public and Seniors ( age 60 and older) and their caregivers are encouraged to attend.

Please scan the QR code to register for the event. If you know of an outstanding Senior or caregiver please complete the nomination form.

This event will be held at the Roy B. Culler Senior Center on Friday May 29th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. We will have a presentation at 10:30 am. , ,
