YWCA High Point carries out the mission through eight core program areas of Adolescent Parenting Program, Aquatics & Wellness, Latino Family Center, Social Justice, Studio Arts, Teaching Kitchen, Women's Resource Center and Youth Services.

🔊: Juntos for Change: A Young Professionals Civic Cohort is still open for applicants!

We will meet Thursdays, 5:30-8:30pm at the YW, 9/17-10/29. We have an incredible line up of guests.

P.S. Each meeting includes a meal! You’ll end the six weeks with YW swag, a brand new network, enhanced advocacy skills and a better understanding of where you fit in it all! 😎

We’ve got a great line up this week!

🚨: New Class, Tai Chi starts TOMORROW (and Tuesdays after that), at 1pm.

👩🏽‍💻: Working Wednesdays! (1️⃣st Wednesday of the month). No registration required!

💡: You might be eligible for energy rebates! Come Wednesday between 11-2pm and talk with Susan Lindsay, a Clean Energy Navigator. Make note of the documents required for you to bring in order to check for rebates.

🙇🏾‍♀️: Our Candidate Forum is cancelled. There are still others happening throughout the community and we encourage you to attend to hear directly from candidates!

🦺: We are closed next Monday in observance of Labor Day!

✨Dolly truly was one of a kind and she certainly left her legacy on the world. Children in our programs and across Guilford County are a part of her Imagination Library and receive free books every month! (thank you Guilford County Partnership for Children!!)

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our Lunch&Learn!!

We are grateful to our two elected officials, Commissioner Foster and City Councilwoman Peters, who came to share more with our attendees about the differences between the work of a city council and a county commission.

🤩 Fun fact: both of these women wanted to make an impact in their community and decided to run for office, but never in their wildest dreams did they think they’d be where they are now!? Can YOU picture yourself in that frame? Don’t give up on where the next road leads.

We truly believe High Point is a special place and that engaging in our civic health can directly impact our community.

P.S. 🔊 We’ve got photo frames AND stickers!?! (We sure do hope you’ll spot us around town and come snag your picture and some stickers)!!!

Our Summer Campers have had one busy summer! ⚽️ ☀️🪥

Our halls are a bit more quiet these days since our students are all back to school— seems like the perfect time to check out their summer fun!

🧠: A little body learning at Millis Regional Health Education Center, I’m not sure the boys will ever be the same. 🤭
⚽️: Soccer with Carolina Core FC, (no fun was had here 😎) .
🚲: Museums galore! The Kaleideum was a favorite spot.
🎻: The Greensboro Symphony hosted a few of our favorite musicians— they even got to show off some of their skills!
🪴: Our new outdoor learning area was host to tons of great activities!

These are just a few of our highlights, we bowled, movie watched and even played a few rounds of Putt Putt.

Thank you to families for trusting us with your sweet students, we do love watching them learn and grow. 🌱
