Sometimes one call changes lives in more ways than we can even imagine and God is in the details❤️

That's the case for us this week. Wait until you hear!

We received a call about possibly picking up two pallets of chicken which led to an early morning trip to FILL OUR TRUCK with four and a half pallets of chicken! More than we have room for!

We called our friends at West End Ministries, Inc., Open Door Ministries of High Point, and House of Prayer to distribute the abundance so families across the community can benefit from this blessing!

Here's how it came to us: Perdue Chicken to Jabez Ministries to Awaken Ministries of NC, who partners with Teen Challenge to us. Our connection came from the House of Prayer, who put us in contact with the father of one of our volunteers! Isn't God amazing!

We've received some wonderful food donations from dear friends this week. Pastor Roger Carmichael of Whispering Hope Baptist Church delivered 1,000 pounds of food!

We also picked up 500 pounds of food from Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC which included fresh fruit!

Among the foods donated are pantry staples like canned and dried beans, mac and cheese, canned meat, and dried fruit.

Every donation provides food for local families facing difficult choices between groceries and other essentials.

Want to help us keep the momentum going? Join our community of neighbors helping neighbors by donating food, hosting a drive, or making a financial gift. Together, we can make sure no family has to face hunger alone. ❤️🥫🫐

We don't have any bread or sweets to offer our neighbors for inside shopping today. 😔 But just before the doors opened, someone surprised us with a donation of 71 pounds of chips. And moments later, THREE PALLETS of Doritos arrived from Out of the Garden Project! 🎉🥰 All of these chips are being handed out in place of what we were lacking. We are so grateful for the provision!

Food insecurity affects more than empty stomachs — it impacts mental health, too. Families facing uncertainty about their next meal often experience higher levels of stress, anxiety, depression, and emotional exhaustion.

When we provide consistent access to nutritious food, we are also helping restore stability, dignity, hope, and peace of mind. Every meal shared is an investment in both physical and mental well-being in our community.

Today’s pantry restock was powered by community generosity! 💙

Our amazing designated shoppers — a dedicated married couple — filled FOUR grocery carts with much-needed items including fresh strawberries, bananas, broccoli, tomatoes, salt, tissues, sweet treats, and more for local families. 🍓🍌🥦🍅

And one of our incredible board members stopped by to fill a cart with condiments, canned foods, and canned meat to help keep our pantry shelves stocked and ready to serve.

🎉 In total, we collected 265 pounds of food! 🎉

We're also celebrating the Postal Food Drive which brought nearly ONE THOUSAND POUNDS OF FOOD to our pantry Saturday!🛒✨

We are moving the needle on our goal to raise 30,000 pounds of food in 30 days, but we still need your help!

You can donate fresh or canned food to Helping Hands High Point or make a financial donation through our website at https://www.helpinghandshighpoint.org/donate
