It’s almost November, Food Bank Clients! Please remember to visit us for distribution on November 5 and 19 from 9-11:30am and 5-7 pm. Please remember to bring your own bags if possible and leave room in your vehicle for groceries.

Four students from Penn State’s Nittany Lion Consulting Group volunteered during our evening distribution yesterday. While volunteering, they are also doing research and will use their experience to make recommendations to improve our efficiency, operations, and client experience. We are thankful for their time and energy!💙🤍

Many thanks to the Shaner Hotel Group, who donated 129 lbs of needed items, including personal care products, paper products and food! The Shaner Hotel Group includes the new TownPlace Suites Hershey, Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Hershey, and Courtyard Hershey Chocolate Ave. We are so thankful for their contributions!!

We are so thankful to the Hershey Horticulture Society for their very generous donation earlier this month! We appreciate so much when organizations give back by helping neighbors in need!!❤️

HHS met on Monday, September 14th and, in recognition of Hunger Action Month, enjoyed a presentation by Penn State Master Gardener Steve Cordaro about the PA Hunger Garden located at the State Capitol Building. Members also learned about the Hershey Food Bank, a program serving Derry Twp families experiencing food insecurity, from program volunteer, Doug Gray.

Our food drive yielded 232 pounds of non-perishable food items that, per USDA figures, translates to more than 500 meals for families in need!

Orange is the official color for National Hunger Action Month and several of our members heeded the invitation to wear orange! Great job, ladies!

Thank you for your support of supplemental food programs in your community serving our neighbors in need, not just during the holiday season, but throughout the entire year!

We are so grateful that Extraordinary Women Ministries thought of us during their event in Hershey! They donated enough Chick-Fil-A meals to serve a local community in need. Our volunteers had a wonderful time providing these meals, and the community members were so appreciative!❤️
