Leadership Opportunity: Join the 2026 AWS Regional Conference Planning Committee!

The AWS Mid-Atlantic Region is looking for student leaders to join the planning committee for the
2026 AWS Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference, which will be held virtually in February 2026.

This opportunity is open to all chapter members, and we highly encourage you to apply. It’s a great way to gain leadership experience, collaborate with students across the region, and work closely with the Mid-Atlantic team to bring this year’s theme to life:

AWS had a wonderful evening on Friday at the ODEB End of Year Banquet!! We were honored to be among so many incredible students and faculty in the room and present our poster to showcase how AWS is working to support our future female physicians and surgeons!

**SAVE THE DATE** AWS is hosting a motherhood and surgery panel on Zoom on Wednesday, September 8 from 8 PM - 9 PM. We will have 4 female surgeons candidly discussing their experiences with pregnancy as residents and attendings, discussing fertility issues (IVF/adoption), and discussing the choice to not have children.

The Association of Women Surgeons (AWS) is hosting a "Meet-And-Greet" on Sunday, August 15th at 10:30am at Shank Park. This will be a relaxing and fun environment for you to meet current AWS members and the board. We can answer questions about school, research, life, or whatever your heart desires. There will be lawn games, VOLLEYBALL, and some pups might even make an appearance 🐶 Please sign-up so we know how many people to expect!
