Bite Me Cancer Foundation

Bite Me Cancer Foundation Attitude is everything; join us! Bite Me Cancer is a 501(c) 3 organization. We know the researchers and can monitor their progress which is quite an honor.

Our 2 main goals are: (1) to help teenagers with all cancers across the country in their battle with all cancers through the Teen Support Bag program to give support/inspiration and (2) to directly fund research grants for thyroid cancer. Our Teen Support Bags are distributed (for free) to teenagers battling all cancers in hospitals across the country. Accomplishments as of June 2022: We have ship

ped out almost 9,800 bags to teenagers in every state and DC through almost 180 hospital partners. We have also directly funded 9 thyroid cancer research grants, with our 10th being the focus to raise money in 2022.

WOW — what an amazing volunteer crew we had last weekend! Together, we stuffed 350 more Teen Support Bags and shipped 250 of them to hospitals across the country to support teens battling cancer.

What made the day even more special was the joy, laughter, and love shared while doing meaningful work for such deserving teens. Every bag is filled not only with helpful items, but also with encouragement, hope, and reminders that they are not alone.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our incredible volunteers, donors, and supporters who help keep this program going strong. Because of you, we are able to continue reaching teens when they need support the most. 💚

Teenagers with cancer face so much more than treatments and doctor appointments. They are often pulled away from friends, school, sports, dances, and all the everyday moments that matter so much during those years. It can be an incredibly isolating experience. That’s why supporting these teens and their families means everything to us. 💛

We are excited to come together for our annual dinner event as we raise a “Final Toast” and celebrate the incredible impact this community has made over the years.

We hope you’ll read more and consider becoming a sponsor or buying individual tickets for this special evening. And if you can’t attend, your tickets can be donated so parents of teens with cancer may attend free of charge. Thank you for helping us remind families they are never alone. www.bitemecancer.org/events

This is an important article highlighting a teen who was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.

In the article, it highlights "Although thyroid cancer is relatively uncommon in teenagers, the rates have been rising sharply for the last 25 years. Papillary thyroid cancer is now the second-most common cancer in teenagers, affecting approximately 2 patients per 100,000 between ages 15 to 19."

Today is the 16th anniversary of our founder’s cancer surgery at 17 years old in 2010. We celebrate Nikki as she continues to live life to the fullest with excitement and positivity! Her ongoing health and fitness routines have helped her a lot! Although she still takes daily oral chemo pills, she pushes her athletic abilities and inspires many! Here are pics from the last few months - 2 half marathons and a Hyrox competition (running plus 8 strength stations) whew!

Today on International Nurses Day, we celebrate the incredible nurses who care for others with compassion, strength, patience, and heart.

Nurses are there for people during some of life’s hardest and most vulnerable moments — offering comfort, advocacy, expertise, and hope when it’s needed most.

Thank you to every nurse for the long hours, sacrifices, kindness, and dedication you bring to patients and families every single day. You make a difference in more lives than you may ever realize.

We appreciate you today and every day. 💚

Today, we celebrate the incredible mothers, grandmothers, caregivers, and mother figures whose love, strength, and compassion help carry families and communities through life’s hardest moments and greatest joys. 💐

We have witnessed firsthand the power of a mother’s heart — the quiet sacrifices, the endless support, the courage during uncertainty, and the unwavering hope they give to those around them.

To every mom who has comforted, encouraged, advocated, volunteered, inspired, and loved unconditionally: thank you. Your impact reaches farther than you may ever know.

On this Mother’s Day, we honor you and hold close the memories of the mothers no longer with us, whose love continues to shape our lives every day. Happy Mother’s Day from all of us.
