Our hearts are with Nepal.

We are devastated by the catastrophic flash floods that have struck along the Nepal–China/Tibet border. As of today, more than 670 lives have been lost in Nepal, with nearly 3,000 people still reported missing across the affected region. Entire communities have been devastated, homes and infrastructure destroyed, and thousands of families are still desperately waiting for news of their loved ones.

The Gorkhaly Foundation extends our deepest condolences to the families who have lost loved ones. We wish strength and courage to the survivors, rescue workers, volunteers, and affected communities and we continue to hold onto hope that more survivors will be found in the days ahead.

In the coming week, the Gorkhaly Foundation will organize a Charity Open Mic and an open community meeting to discuss and explore how, with the resources available to us, we can best contribute to the relief and recovery efforts.
