Today's Special Ed Teacher feature is Stephanie Poumade, Itinerant Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing.
👂🏿👂🏽🦻🏻🦻🏾🤟🏼🙌🏼
She's worked with the DHH population in FCPS for 16 years, under different roles. Last school year she supported various schools across the Chantilly, South Lakes, and Oakton pyramids, and conducted educational evaluations on DHH students across the county. She has students aged Pre-K through age 22 (aging out of special education).
She absolutely ✨LOVES✨ what she does and the students and families with whom she works. One of the challenges of being in so many buildings is having resources at her fingertips when she needs them; she relies heavily on her “mobile office” (read: minivan ☺️). Thank you in advance for considering supporting the important services she provides to her students! 🤟🏼💜🙌🏼
