INOVA Starkid 5K- Madison Strong

Thank you to everyone that came out to the Starkid race this morning! And a big thank you to all of our donators! Our team raised just shy of our goal of $1,000 and we contributed to raising over $100,000 for Inova children’s hospital- this year’s focus being the Pediatric Emergency Department.

This has become a fun and anticipated tradition for our family and friends, and we love to see our team get bigger every year!

For our team, first place in the 5k goes to Joseph (9), 2nd place goes to Robert (9), and 3rd place goes to Ben (20). All of our runners (and walkers) did an amazing job!

This will be our 3rd year participating in the Starkid 5k, and each year has gotten bigger and bigger!

Last year we raised over $1,000 for INOVA children’s hospital. Our goal this year is $1,500 so that INOVA can continue to help babies like Madison.

Madison Grace has been nothing short of a miracle since day 1. She was born at 24 weeks after water breaking at 18 weeks. Madison was born weighing 1 pound 5.7 ounces. She has come such a long way and has overcome every obstacle life has thrown at her.
