It is with heavy hearts that the WNC Cycling Community mourns the loss of these two young men. Our thoughts are with their families, and with the team members and their families, especially those team members still in the Hospital receiving care. This hits close to home for us; Members of BRBC and other local clubs and teams just rode the Blue Ridge Brutal with members of the Milligan Cycling Team.

We are profoundly shocked and saddened to share that members of our cycling team were in an accident involving a vehicle this morning while cycling in Hampton, TN. Sophomores Haylan Engdahl and Brayden Rogers were killed in this accident. Multiple other Milligan cyclists were also seriously injured and are currently receiving treatment at the Johnson City Medical Center. There are no words to adequately describe this level of loss. Our prayers are with all those impacted by this tragedy. Please keep the Milligan community in your prayers.

Hi BRBC members!

Help our friends at BikeWalkHVL provide secure bike parking during the North Carolina Apple Festival! The bike corral will be open Friday, September 4 and Saturday, September 5, from 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Volunteer shifts are approximately two hours, and no bike experience is required. A BikeWalkHVL coordinator will follow up with each volunteer’s confirmed shift and day-of details.
