Many of you know Debbie through the MTADA Health Program. For the past 14 years, she has been a steady and trusted presence for dealers across Montana - helping HR teams, answering questions, handling payments and invoicing, and making sure things run smoothly for so many people.

At the MTADA office, Deb is truly the backbone of so much of what we do. She keeps things running behind the scenes and supports our dealers in ways that often go unseen, but never go unappreciated.

Recently, Deb was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer. While she’s approaching it with incredible strength, the road ahead will be challenging in many ways, including financially.

A GoFundMe has been created to help support Deb and her family during treatment and recovery. Our hope is to ease some of the financial burden so she can focus on her health and her family.

We’re grateful for another impactful year at MTADA. From a memorable 111th Annual Family Convention on Flathead Lake to celebrating Don “K,” this year highlighted the strength of our relationships and our industry.

We’re proud to spotlight outstanding MTADA members and continue supporting dealers through Montana Overdrive and our trusted Preferred Partners.

Looking ahead, mark your calendars for the 2026 NADA Show in Las Vegas (Feb. 3–6) and the 112th Annual Family Convention in Butte (Aug. 13–16). Thank you for being part of a strong future for Montana’s auto industry.

Last week MTADA and dealer members traveled to Washington, D.C to take part in the 2025 NADA Washington Conference. While there, they engaged with members of Congress to address the most pressing issues impacting the automotive industry. We're grateful to our Montana dealer members who took time out of their busy schedules to represent and advocate for the interests of franchised new car dealers across the state.

Congratulations, Don!
As many of you may already know, Don Kaltschmidt has officially retired!
Governor Gianforte once said that there was a time "before Don K" and a time "after Don K." That statement captures just how profound an impact Don’s leadership has had—not just on our organization, but on the entire state of Montana. His dedication to our country, state, and community has been truly remarkable, and his contributions to the Montana Republican Party are nothing short of transformative.
Under Don’s leadership, the party evolved from a seasonal effort into a dynamic, year-round operation. He was instrumental in building grassroots support, forging essential partnerships, and coordinating closely with national GOP efforts. Don has shaped Montana’s future in a way that will be felt for years to come.
Don, you have changed the direction of our state and made Montana a place we can all be proud of. Your belief in the people of Montana, your relentless drive for progress, and your ability to inspire others have left a lasting legacy. You’ve set a high bar, and your leadership will be greatly missed.
Congratulations on your retirement, Don! We wish you all the best in this new chapter of life. May it be filled with rest, adventure, and all the joy you’ve certainly earned. You’ve made a difference, and Montana will always be better because of you.
