A warm, cozy bed and breakfast venue pickup on the first chilly Sunday of the season had us in our feels! T and A’s luscious, rich fall blooms from Harmony Harvest Farm | Heirloom Chrysanthemums were repurposed and donated to residents at SunnysideCommunities.

Justin and Maria shared the flowers from their beautiful September wedding with residents at VMRC’s Park Place. There was lots of ooh-ing and aah-ing when residents came to pick up a vase of flowers for themselves and to share with friends. Thank you to everyone who made this donation possible, from Bouquets & Bustles who introduced us to the wonderful couple and all of our volunteers!

As flower season winds down, we're finding even more reasons to appreciate every last bloom. 🌸 Today's harvest is headed to Keister Elementary for a special activity with the school counselor. What a lovely way to share the last little bits of the growing season!

Last week’s RMH flowers got a beautiful second life! 💐

Thank you to Lori’s Gifts with Sentara RMH for continuing to share flowers with us. The JMU GIVE group helped repurpose them into fresh bouquets, which were then delivered to clients at Pleasant View, Inc. 🤍

A rainy September night, a new venue for us, and one stunning wedding donation. 🤍

After V & S celebrated at Eastwood Farm & Winery, our volunteers braved the rain for a late-night pickup of their incredible florals by Fleuressence - look at that floral arch! 😍

By the next day, their wedding flowers had a whole new life, bringing joy to clients at the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Community Services Board 💐

Our DIY buckets in action! 💐

One of our volunteers took home a DIY bucket last week and turned it into beautiful bouquets for Adagio House. 🤍

And it looks like she had the cutest little helper!! 🥹🌸

We love seeing what our volunteers do with our DIY buckets! A little creativity, a lot of pretty flowers, and more joy headed back out into our community. 💕

We had a great time at VMRC this week sharing all about Friendly City Florals!

It was so much fun talking about how FCF came to be, giving a little peek behind the scenes, and talking about the flowers, volunteers, and community that make it all possible.

One of our favorite parts of FCF is getting to meet new people and share more about what we do. We love visiting Rotary clubs, garden clubs, senior living communities, schools, and other groups around the area. If you have a group that would enjoy hearing more about FCF, send us a message. We’ll come visit! 🤍
