IFCO Pastors for Peace is joining thousands of people for the Nuestra América Convoy in Havana, Cuba, with a delegation of artists, faith leaders, and community leaders to affirm loudly: Cuba is not alone!

The Trump administration has tightened the 64-year-old crippling economic blockade on Cuba by imposing a fuel blockade that is causing an energy crisis: longer blackouts, no transportation, hospitals unable to function properly. These acts of aggression are impacting 11 million people—particularly children, pregnant women, and the elderly. As people of conscience we cannot stay silent or be complicit.

In these moments of increasing aggressions, to stand with the Cuban people is a deep act of humanity and solidarity. We will stand with the Cuban people and we invite YOU to do the same.

Donate to IFCO: www.ifconews.org/donate and help us bring urgent humanitarian aid. DO NOT MENTION CUBA at the moment of donating.

For decades, the U.S. blockade has been the primary architect of Cuba’s economic hardship, a fact overwhelmingly condemned by the world community year after year. Yet, Cuba’s resistance is a lesson in dignity.

Despite the immense cost, the island has built a society that prioritizes doctors over bombs, universal literacy over corporate greed, and international medical solidarity over military intervention.

Cuba is not a threat to the people of the U.S. or anyone anywhere. However, U.S. imperialism is a real threat to humanity and the planet.

As the Trump administration intensifies war, we, the people of the U.S., must intensify our solidarity.

The current administration has launched a brutal, multi-front assault on human dignity, sovereignty, and justice. Just a few days into the new year and we have already witnessed: the bombing of civilians and the kidnapping of the sitting head of state in Venezuela, the assasination of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis by ICE agents, and continuing threats of escalating war - at home and abroad.

This is not a time for silence.

In this spirit, we reject and denounce silence as complicity. We refuse to ‘wait’ while our siblings at home are terrorized by ICE and our siblings abroad are strangled by sanctions and threatened with war. Our solidarity must be vocal, active, and organized.

For this reason, The Interreligious Foundation for Community Organization (IFCO) is inviting you to participate in an urgent mass meeting featuring voices from Latin America and organizers within U.S. communities resisting ICE.

IFCO is endorsing the December 6th National Day of Action to say No War on Venezuela, happening in over 65 cities across the U.S. We encourage everyone in our network to find an action near you: answercoalition.org/venezuela

We won’t stand idly by while the Trump administration is pushing the U.S. toward a catastrophic war on Venezuela. Recent U.S. military escalations on the Caribbean have bypassed Congress, violated international law, and fabricated pretexts for intervention using racist language. If we allow the Trump administration to launch war against Venezuela- it won’t stop there!

We must act now! The majority in the U.S. oppose war. An attack on our sisters and brothers in Venezuela is an attack on us. We must stop this war before it starts.

For nearly 60 years, IFCO has been a leading voice in connecting faith leaders and key organizers in our mass movements. It has sustained solidarity programs that have shaped our vision for a more just world based on justice and internationalism.

As we continue this important work, we rely solely on the generosity of friends like you to make it possible.

Your donation today will directly support:
🩺the U.S. ELAM scholarship recipients studying medicine in Cuba
🏦 our fiscal sponsorship program which helps sustain and amplify the work of nearly 30 community organizations,
🇨🇺🤝our ongoing campaigns to provide solidarity humanitarian aid to our sisters and brothers in Cuba, and other communities in struggle.
✊ encouraging and enabling social movements for justice through education and training

We the people face challenges of this moment: the militarization imposed on our communities, the threats to core democratic and workers’ rights, the ongoing military actions and attempts to push back sovereign liveration movements from the Caribbean to the Middle East. Since 1967, IFCO has continued to bridge struggles and build unity across movements.

This Giving Tuesday and through the end of the year, your donation will help IFCO keep vital programs alive and ensure that we can continue our work in 2026 and beyond.
