Where Do the $ Go?
100% of proceeds support the Omondi Obura Fund, funding evidence-based campus su***de prevention training programs like Campus Connect and Creating a Culture of Care. Together, these programs build community and a safety net for Dartmouth students.

With 3 days to go, here is how you can join in:

PEAK BAG STILL RUNS ON WORD OF MOUTH

We have a website, a registration form and even a map. But our most effective technology is still a message from one person to another:

“I’m doing Peak Bag on October 4th. Want to come?”

That is how Scott, Jack and Bill ended up smiling through the ice on Moosilauke. It is how a walk becomes shared, and how Peak Bag reaches one more town, trail, family or circle of friends.

With two weeks to go, would you invite two or three people to join you?

A text is enough. No pitch. No fundraising ask. Just a friend making room for a friend.

THIS IS OUR KIND OF MATH

Thanks to generous sponsors, every additional Peak Bag registration unlocks up to $50 for the Omondi Obura Fund for Mental Health and Su***de Prevention.

What does that support actually do?

The Fund directly supports Campus Connect programs at Dartmouth, training students and faculty to recognize early warning signs of risk, to reach out with empathy and respond effectively, and to connect students in crisis with professional help.

Students who learn these skills then propagate awareness worldwide, far beyond the confines of Dartmouth.

In other words, your registration helps build a stronger human safety net across the planet.

Registering takes only a few minutes. Then choose how you want to take part: walk, hike, ride, climb, or simply get outside with someone you care about.

One registration can unlock up to $50. A few friends can multiply that impact.

Many small steps move mountains. October 4th. Join us.

FROM HANOVER TO KILIMANJARO—AND EVERYWHERE IN BETWEEN

Peak Bag isn’t one mountain, one distance or even one time zone. It is people going outside wherever they happen to be—and knowing that others are doing the same.

On Sunday, October 4, join us from your favorite trail, neighborhood walk, bike route, city park or literal mountaintop.

The venue is anywhere you want it to be. Connection is the point.

BRING THE NEXT GENERATION

One of the most hopeful things about Peak Bag has been seeing it grow beyond one school, one class, and one generation.

Bring your children. Invite a student. Bring the world.

Peak Bag began as a way to remember our friend Omondi Obura. It has grown into a worldwide community supporting mental health and su***de prevention at Dartmouth and beyond. It's also just a great chance to get out and do something healthy with friends. Outdoor connection is resilience.

Sunday, October 4th.

See ya out there.

AN EASY WALK COUNTS

Peak Bag has never been about how high you climb or how far you go.

Take an easy walk. Ride your bike. Climb a hill. Walk the dog. Sit somewhere beautiful with someone you care about.

On Sunday, October 4th, people will be taking part all over the world, each in their own way, but all part of a shared commitment to our twin purpose: mental health, outdoor connection.

There is no minimum distance, elevation or level of athletic ambition. Just join us wherever you happen to be.
