Fall looks a little different on Star Island. 🍂🌊

The summer season has come to a close, the island has settled into a quieter rhythm, and the ocean breeze is carrying a hint of autumn. Even under moody skies, there’s something magical about this place.

A different season, the same island we love. 💙

From cleaning and organizing to tackling all the behind-the-scenes projects that keep our island special, your hard work, energy, and dedication mean so much.

For every pizza sold tonight, Flatbread will donate $1.75 for every small and $3.50 for every large to Star Island. And yes, dine-in AND takeout count! 🙌

Star Island hosted a literary first this September: “Among Thaxter’s Isles of Shoals,” the first conference dedicated to Celia Thaxter.

Co-organized by University of Maine at Augusta Professor Ellen Taylor, the conference brought literary critics, historians, gardeners, and artists to the Isles of Shoals to explore Thaxter’s writing and enduring legacy.
