Please join us this Sunday for a Picnic in Enzo’s Honor on Baker Lawn from 2–4 PM.
Everyone we’ve spoken to about Enzo (whether we knew them well or were meeting them for the first time) describes him the same way: full of energy and life, the kind of person who made every room feel warmer just by being in it. He had a gift for making people feel joyous, alive, and seen. And we think the most beautiful way to honor him is to feel exactly that way again, together. Because that feeling is where his memory lives most.
We ask that, if you can, you bring something that reminds you of Enzo — an object, a letter, a piece of music, a photo, a memory, anything at all (no limits!) — along with a few words about why it does. Everything will be gathered and kept in a box dedicated to his memory, a small piece of each of us, held alongside him.
The afternoon will include music that Enzo wrote and composed, a live performance by The Dartmouth Sings (Enzo’s a Capella group), lawn games, and Turkish food. This Sunday is a moment to come together, to share stories, to laugh and remember and to celebrate the warmth and spirit Enzo gave so freely to all of our lives.
We hope to see you there. Bring whoever loved him. And if you can, wear colorful clothes :)
With so much love,
Luca La Hoz Calassara and Asli Tavasli
Please note there will be two Celebrations of Life: one in Minnesota June 20th (contact Asli by clicking here if you want to come) and one at Dartmouth in Fall.
