Meet Bersa! 🐾
Bersa is a sweet, smart, loving little girl who just needs a little time to warm up and show you what a wonderful companion she can be! At just a year and a half old and around 12 pounds, she’s the perfect little package of love and personality.
Bersa came into rescue with a broken leg, but thanks to the amazing care of her foster, she has made a remarkable recovery! ❤️ She is now spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped! She’s ready to find her forever family!
When Bersa meets new people or finds herself in an unfamiliar place, she can be pretty shy. Her first instinct is to find a quiet, safe spot to take it all in. But give her a little patience, love, and reassurance, and soon enough, she’ll decide you’re her person. Once that happens, get ready for a loyal little best friend!
When she feels safe, Bersa is affectionate, energetic, playful, and loves being close to her people. We think she could be a great match for an active family, including one with children who understand the importance of giving her time to settle in.
And this girl has MANNERS! Bersa is smart and obedient, and she already knows to sit patiently at mealtime until she gets the okay to eat. Her foster didn’t even have to teach her that trick!
She hasn’t shown much interest in toys just yet, but wearing a cone after her leg injury probably put a damper on playtime. Now that the cone is off, we’re excited to see more of her playful personality shine through. She also hasn’t shown any destructive chewing habits.
Bersa is still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. Sometimes, when things get noisy or unfamiliar, she’ll tuck herself away in a cozy hiding spot. She needs a family willing to let her come out of her shell at her own pace, without rushing or forcing things.
