Dear Parents,

One of the most important truths we can teach our children is that God is sovereign and good, even when life is difficult. As parents, we naturally want to protect our children from disappointment, hurt, and uncertainty. Yet some of the greatest opportunities for spiritual growth come when we walk with them through challenges and point them to the faithfulness of God.

As a family, talk openly about God's faithfulness in both good times and hard times. Share stories of how He has provided, guided, and sustained your family through challenges. When your children see you trusting the Lord in difficult moments, they learn that faith is not just for Sunday mornings—it is for every day of life.

Pray with us: Father, help our family trust You when life is difficult and remember that You are faithful in every season. Strengthen our children's faith and teach them to rely on You more each day. May our home be a place where Your goodness is remembered, Your promises are trusted, and Your name is praised. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Dear Parents,

Serving others as a family helps children see faith in action. Whether through church involvement or simple acts of kindness, service reflects Christ’s love to the world. While it is important for our children to hear about Jesus, it is equally important for them to see what it looks like to follow Him. When children watch their parents serve others with humility, generosity, and joy, they begin to understand that faith is more than something we believe—it is something we live.

Jesus Himself set the example for us, saying, “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve” (Mark 10:45). Every opportunity to help a neighbor, encourage a friend, serve at church (the Garden has many opportunities!), or meet a practical need becomes a discipleship moment. These experiences teach our children that following Christ means loving God and loving people. As a family, look for simple ways to serve this week and pray that God would use those moments to shape your hearts to be more like Jesus.

Pray with us: Lord, thank You for the example of Jesus, who came to serve rather than be served. Help our family reflect Your love through humble acts of service. Open our eyes to the needs around us and give us willing hearts to serve others with joy. Use these opportunities to help our children grow in their faith and become more like Christ. Amen.
