From the CEOs desk

You don’t make a place better by rising alone…You make it better when you elevate everybody around you.

At this event, we had:• Two mayors• A school superintendent• The district attorney• A youth court judge• Members of intervention court administration• Three police departments• 10 local nonprofits all with one common goal

MAKE OUR COMMUNITIES BETTER

Here’s the real lesson:
When you do it for the cause and not the applause, people will support you more than you can imagine.

The most powerful moment for me?Hearing city leaders tell our story with me only having to say THANK YOU!!!

That’s how you know the work is real. That’s how you know it’s bigger than you. That’s how you know it’s working.

Keep building. Keep serving. Keep elevating.

A Gulfport-based program focused on providing opportunities to at-risk young people is opening its doors again, this time at the old Gaston Point Elementary School. Community leaders toured the facility Thursday as Climb CDC prepares to resume operations.

🦪 As everyone on the Gulf knows, Spring is a perfect time to enjoy oysters, and restaurants along the Mississippi coast are serving up a bounty. In March, The Nature Conservancy’s Save Our Shells Program collected more than 30,000 pounds of oyster shells to be recycled for uses that can range from living shorelines to new oyster reefs. Save Our Shells also welcomed a new restaurant, Bacchus on the Bluff in Gulfport, to the program. While the restaurant is new, its sister locations in the Bacchus restaurant group — Bacchus On The Beach and Bacchus On The Bayou— have been partners in Save Our Shells since the beginning.

So, our question to you is…do you enjoy your oysters raw, chargrilled or fried? We like them every way, as long as the shells get recycled. 🦪

From the CEO’s desk

Leadership isn’t defined by a title or position………it’s proven through action, impact, and the courage to lead when it matters most.

From the Desk of the CEO

If you wake up in the morning and feel entitled, what would that get you? NOTHING

If you think someone owes you something, what would you get?NOTHING

If you lose your discipline and work ethic, what would that get you? NOTHING

If you fail to prepare and pay attention to detail, what would that get you? NOTHING

So NOTHING is more important than staying focused at being the best you, you can be no matter what you choose to do!!!
