Dolly was the Goodwill Ambassador at our annual Pup Splash yesterday. She made lots of new friends, young and not-so-young!
It is hard to believe that this sweet girl came to us from a shelter where a Good Samaritan brought her after finding her injured by the side of the road. She was covered in fleas, could not stand up, and had recently had a litter of puppies.
This did not dim the light of her personality at all, that essential Golden temperament burns brightly now that she is getting medical care in our foster program.
You can't keep a good girl down! Go Dolly 🐾💜

What a great afternoon! The weather held out and our annual Pup Splash was a dog certified success!! Many thanks to Ridgewood Swim and Tennis Club for hosting us again this year and making it possible to continue this fun tradition.
We also celebrated our amazing foster parents, Dick and Polly, who have fostered 100 dogs for TGRR 💫🌟⭐️ We couldn't do any of this without great fosters like you.

Hey folks! The Pup Splash is still on for tomorrow, this is a rain or shine event, with no rain date. Tickets are still available.

The forecast is looking a little better for tomorrow so we might get lucky with just clouds and cool temps!

Pleased to meet you! I'm Ellie, a fun-loving, energetic 6-year-old Golden, I weigh 85 pounds, and I'm always ready for my next adventure.

If you’re looking for a dog who will happily play fetch with you for as long as you’re willing to throw the ball, I’m your girl! I also love a good game of tug and playing with my other toys.

I’m a social girl who enjoys other dogs, especially ones who like to play as much as I do. I can be pretty enthusiastic when meeting new canine friends, so I’d love a young playful male dog in my forever home who appreciates my exuberance and can keep up with me.

I’m also an enthusiastic greeter and sometimes forget that not everyone wants an 85-pound Golden jumping up to say hello! I’m working on that, along with my leash manners. I may pull a bit when we first head out, but once I settle in, I’m a very nice walking companion.

I’m good with cats once the initial excitement of meeting them wears off, and I love kids. Because I’m an energetic girl, though, I’d probably be happiest with older children who can handle my enthusiasm.

I have a talent for finding anything interesting on the kitchen counter, so my family will need to keep tempting goodies out of reach while helping me learn that counters are off-limits. The good news is that I’m perfectly happy being loose in the house when you need to leave.

I’m a pro at jumping in and out of the car all by myself, although I’m still learning to enjoy the ride. I’m a little anxious in the car right now, but I’m sure with more experience—and some fun destinations—I’ll discover that car rides can be pretty great.

If you’re looking for a fun, active Golden to join you on hikes, maybe even a jog, and of course play plenty of ball, I just might be your girl. I’ve got lots of love and energy to share, and I’m ready to be your BFF! check me out at https://tgrr.org/dog/ellie/
