The Greene County Partnership is proud to announce that we received THREE honors at the 29th Annual Northeast Tennessee Tourism Association Pinnacle Awards on May 21, recognizing excellence in tourism across the region!
✨ Event of the Year (Budget Under $50,000)
The 30th Annual Iris Festival Week was recognized for bringing our community together and showcasing the very best of Greeneville and Greene County.
✨ Partnership of the Year
Discover Greeneville and The Friends of the Cherokee National Forest were honored for their collaborative efforts in hosting the Greene County Firefly Festival, creating a unique and memorable experience that highlights the natural beauty of our region and attracts visitors from near and far.
✨ Adventure Tourism Leader of the Year
Congratulations to Joe Nowotarski, Manager of David Crockett Birthplace State Park, for being recognized as Adventure Tourism Leader of the Year. Joe's outstanding leadership and dedication helped maintain park operations and visitor experiences despite the challenges and damage caused by Hurricane Helene.
These awards celebrate the people, partnerships, and events that make Greene County a special place to live, work, and visit. We are grateful to our volunteers, sponsors, partners, community leaders, and visitors who help make these achievements possible.
