Today we celebrated our Jessica Colter Memorial Scholarship Foundation Class of 2026 local scholarship winners.

We awarded five $2,000 scholarships to local students. This is in addition to our ETSU nursing endowment.

This marks our fourth year awarding local scholarships. In total, we have awarded $40,000 to Greene County students over the past four years.

Thank you to all 16 of our applicants. It was a strong group.

We are proud to recognize the outstanding students selected as this year’s scholarship recipients.

Elijah Williams, West Greene High School, will be attending ETSU.

Ella Adams, Home Life Academy, will also be attending ETSU.

The Deadline Is Approaching

There is still time to apply for the scholarships offered by the Jessica Colter Memorial Scholarship Foundation, but March 31 will be here before you know it.

Up to five $2,000 awards are available for Greene County residents pursuing a future in healthcare. These scholarships recognize students who reflect Jessica’s heart for service, dedication to learning, and commitment to uplifting others.

Who should apply?
• Graduating seniors in the Class of 2026 planning a healthcare major
• Private or homeschool graduates living in Greene County
• Residents returning to college for healthcare
• Previous Jessica Colter Scholarship recipients

Now is the time to request transcripts, finalize your service records, and polish your essay.

Applications must be postmarked by March 31, 2026.

Jessica Colter Scholarship Applications Are Now Open

The Jessica Colter Memorial Scholarship Foundation will award up to five $2,000 scholarships to Greene County residents pursuing a future in healthcare.

Jessica lived a life of compassion, service, hard work, and love for her community. These scholarships honor students who carry those same values forward.
