United Way of Greene County thanks everyone who dropped off school supplies to Stuff the Bus, including Kim (our first customer)! We especially appreciate Eastman Credit Union and WCYB for this great program to help replenish school supplies throughout the year. Eastman Credit Union donated 70,000 pencils region-wide!

As students head back to school, we also want to recognize the power of volunteers.
United Way of Greene County is proud to support the Foster Grandparent Program, which connects seniors with meaningful volunteer opportunities to help students in local schools.

Back-to-school is not just about classrooms. It is also about giving kids safe, positive places to learn, grow, lead, and belong.

United Way of Greene County is proud to support organizations like the Boys & Girls Club of Greeneville and Greene County, Sequoyah Council of Scouting America, and Girl Scout Council of Southern Appalachians. These programs help local youth build confidence, leadership skills, friendships, and life skills that go far beyond the school year.

When we support education, we support the whole child.

Thank you to the Greeneville Flyboys and the David Crockett Birthplace State Park for a great event last weekend! It was enjoyed by all, with the second-largest crowd of the season! We braved a few sprinkles for a walk-off Flyboys win! Much information was shared about the State Park and United Way. We'll be announcing the winner of our "Pioneer Beard" contest for a $50 gift certificate at Creamy Cup shortly. In the meantime, here's one of the entries.
