Garber Automall has been an amazing supporter of the Clay Education Foundation for many years. They not only host our Tools for Schools teacher supply store and give a brand-new car to the Teacher of the Year at the Apple Awards, but they also serve as a collection location for Stuff the Bus!
Now through July 31st, school supplies can be dropped off at the pre-owned building.

Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is an important step in a student’s journey through postsecondary education. The Florida College Access Network launched the Florida FAFSA Challenge in 2015 to encourage schools and districts across Florida to increase FAFSA completion by 5% compared to the previous year and to ensure that eligible students receive financial aid.
Congratulations to Fleming Island High School, Ridgeview High School, Clay High School, and Oakleaf High School for completing the Florida FAFSA Challenge this year and raising their FAFSA completion rates by 5% or more over the previous school year! Clay County students earned an estimated $2,840,745 in Pell Grants by completing their FAFSAs.

While pencils and crayons are always popular, our Top 5 items last year were copy paper, Expo markers, hand sanitizer, tissues, and cleaning wipes!

Thanks to the generosity of National Gypsum Company, we were able to award several STEM grants this year. Mr. Nelson's classes at Oakleaf Junior High School took a deep dive into science and engineering by using digital CAD tools to design intricate, multi-colored 3D models of plant cells, animal cells, and atoms, and then brought those exact concepts to life using 3D printers.

"I learned that it was super hard to make a 3D model, and it took a lot of work. But I also learned so much more about the model of a plant cell." – Kylie
