VISION
Ever since Helen Keller inspired Lions to champion the cause in 1925, Lions have served and advocated for the blind and visually impaired. A century later, this long-standing mission continues unhindered.
Grayslake Lions, since 1940 have supported this cause. ONE of the ways we do this is by collecting eyeglasses. If you have eyeglasses that are no longer needed, please seek out a Lion that will make sure they are put to good use. If you live in or near Grayslake, you may deposit them in one of our collection boxes. The boxes are located at:

Grayslake Feed Sales
Grayslake Public Library
Avon Township Center on Washington St.
State Bank of the Lakes
Grayslake Senior Residence on Library Lane
My Eye Doctor on Center St.
Grayslake EyeCare on Lake St.

If Wildwood is closer, the GageWood Lions have a collection “mailbox” at Walgreens located near St Rt. 120 & US Hwy 45

We heard a most informative and well delivered presentation from Lupe Gallardo of the Grayslake Senior Activity Center
last night at our monthly meeting. It was interesting to hear about this free valuable asset within our community. Not only do they have a fitness center, they provide educational, cultural and social activities for anyone 55+ residing in the 60030 area code. Check out their page or give them a call at 773-366-8888.

We also discussed our recent Lions Roar N Pour which was very well received by the community. And started planning for our upcoming FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN event.

Feed My Starving Children — Libertyville is one of eight permanent packing sites where volunteers are mobilized to pack nutritious MannaPack® meals that are distributed by FMSC partners around the world.

The Grayslake Lions Club was at Grayslake Central High School last night giving away more scholarships. Two scholarships, the "Lion Ruth Patterson" and the "Lion Jim Rockwell" were presented to very qualified young scholars. We thank them for their hard work and wish them much success in the future.
