That’s a wrap on the 2026 Grayslake Coyotes season! Thank you to everyone for being on this incredible journey with us over the last year. We are so thankful to all all of our friends, families and community members that supported us. As we turn the page on our chapter, we will now be transitioning our social media account to next years team. We can’t wait to support them on their journey as it starts in the next few weeks. 🐺⚾ Thank You, John #24! ⚾🐺

John made an immediate impact in his first season as a Grayslake Coyote, quickly becoming a valuable part of our team. At the plate, he put together an outstanding season, collecting 38 hits while batting .322, consistently providing quality at-bats and helping keep our offense moving.

Defensively, John was a steady presence wherever he was needed. While he was holding down right field, he also stepped in at first base and left field, showing his versatility and team-first attitude. His big arm quickly became one of his trademarks, as he threw out multiple runners trying to stretch singles into doubles—and even recorded the rare 9-3 putout, gunning runners out at first base from right field. No matter where he played, John gave our team confidence every time the ball was hit his way.

Some of John’s favorite memories were winning two bracket play games in Cooperstown and playing under the lights during the season, experiences that made for an unforgettable year.

Thank you, John, for embracing the Coyotes family from day one and for your dedication, versatility, and positive attitude throughout the season. Your work ethic and cannon of an arm made you an invaluable part of this team, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.

🐺⚾ Thank You, Sean #99! ⚾🐺

Sean was the definition of a grinder and someone you always wanted in the lineup. One of his greatest strengths was his ability to see the baseball, averaging nearly four pitches per plate appearance and constantly making opposing pitchers work. His patient approach helped wear down pitchers and set the tone for our offense. Sean also brought relentless hustle every single day, never taking a play off and always finding ways to help the team succeed.

Defensively, Sean was as reliable as they come. He committed just five errors all season while splitting time between second base, left field, and right field. No matter where he was on the field, his effort, versatility, and hustle made him a player his teammates and coaches could always count on.

Some of Sean’s favorite memories were tripling to spark our comeback in the Deerfield Wood Bat Championship game, helping us rally for the title, and sharing the Cooperstown experience with his teammates, including the opportunity to take the mound and pitch in Cooperstown.

Thank you, Sean, for your hustle, toughness, and team-first mentality. Your determination, patience at the plate, and willingness to do whatever the team needed made you an invaluable part of this group, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.

🐺⚾ Thank You, Vance #50! ⚾🐺

Vance was one of our most versatile players all season long, making an impact at the plate, on the mound, and in the field. Offensively, he put together a terrific season with 42 hits and 2 home runs, consistently finding ways to spark our lineup and come through in big moments.

On the mound, Vance gave us 36 quality innings while recording 30 strikeouts, providing another reliable arm for our pitching staff. Defensively, he split time between shortstop and left field, showcasing his athleticism and willingness to play wherever the team needed him. No matter the position, Vance brought energy, competitiveness, and confidence every time he stepped onto the field.

Some of Vance’s favorite memories were hitting his first home run at Aquatic Field and winning two bracket play games in Cooperstown, creating memories that will stay with him for years to come.

Thank you, Vance, for your versatility, hard work, and competitive spirit throughout the season. Your willingness to contribute in every facet of the game made you an invaluable part of this team, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.

🐺⚾ Thank You, Keegan #11! ⚾🐺

Keegan was one of the toughest at-bats in our lineup all season long. He finished the year with 29 hits and consistently put together quality plate appearances, leading the team in 6+ pitch at-bats while recording the second-highest quality at-bat percentage on the team. Keegan had an incredible ability to work deep counts, battle every pitcher he faced, and never give away an at-bat. One of the most memorable moments of the season came when he hit his first career home run in Cooperstown, a swing that everyone on the team was excited to celebrate.

Defensively, Keegan split time between catcher and third base, providing leadership and toughness wherever he was needed. Whether he was behind the plate, at the hot corner, or grinding through another lengthy at-bat, Keegan’s determination and competitive spirit were on display every game.

Some of Keegan’s favorite memories were playing in the Deerfield Wood Bat Tournament and hitting his first career home run in Cooperstown, two moments he’ll remember for years to come.

Thank you, Keegan, for your grit, resilience, and never-quit mentality. Your ability to battle in every at-bat and your willingness to do whatever the team needed made you an invaluable part of this group, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.
