We are proud to annouce our Parade Marshal, Mr. Tom Wise!!! Mr. Wise served in the US Navy from 1954 to 1959 and returned home to attend Ferris State University where he earned his Teaching Degree and he finished his Masters Degree at MSU. He joined the staff at Grand Ledge High School in 1965 and served in many capacities over his 32 years of service retiring in 1997. He started the Vocational Education and Co-Op programs for Grand Ledge and worked with Eaton County Resa on these programs. He wore several different hats during his career at the High School and many fellow co-workers and past students may remember him as a Teacher, Assistant Principal, Drivers Ed Instructor and JV Softball Coach for 21 of those years where he fondly earned the nickname of "Sparky". After retiring, he returned home to the Big Rapids area for a few years, where they had a cottage, during this time he started the Girls Softball program for Big Rapids HS and was named Coach of the Year by the State of Michigan.

He and his wife Sandy have called Grand Ledge home for past 61 years and are celebrating their 65th Wedding Anniversary and Tom's 89th Birthday this week. They have raised their 3 children here in the Grand Ledge area and are still happy to call Grand Ledge home.
