The final day of the school year at the YES Center concluded with a wonderful surprise retirement celebration. Participating in the lives of numerous young individuals over the years has been highly gratifying. I appreciate Darcy Krause and Melissa Delaney, along with my granddaughters, for planning this exceptional day. Note that the YES Center will resume operations in the fall. Wishing everyone a great summer.

We’re off to a great start here at the YES Center. It’s been a fun September…we are squeezing every last minute of the warm weather!! Our annual awards dinner is always so heartwarming ❤️ and last night was no different!

Thank you once again to Grand Ledge Public Schools and Lake Trust Credit Union for their sponsorships!

Big shout out to Kim Manning from GLPS for making the room set up easy peasy, my assistant Lisa Plunkett and board member Tammy Beson for helping me decorate. My volunteer extraordinaires city employee Hannah Behl and my daughter Cami Hoyes for keeping me in line!

Grand Ledge High School Band for entertaining us, Swedes for feeding us and Dr Laura from First Congregational UCC, Grand Ledge for blessing our evening.

My board members who attended Justin Blake, Shawn VanSteeland, Ariel Backus, Keith Wright, Martha Davis, Dr. Ethan Childs, Dr. Bill Barnes, Lisa Fisher and Sarah Schafer. I appreciate y’all so much!!!
