📚 Empowering the next generation through The Kasiisi Project!

For 30 years, the Disney Conservation Fund has supported organizations with communities to protect wildlife, inspire action, and promote environmental resilience- including The Kasiisi Project. With support from Disney, over 750 students in 16 Primary schools neighbouring Kibale National Park will be trained in conservation, restoration, and environmental leadership over the next two years.
We appreciate the Disney Conservation Fund for investing in youth-driven solutions. 💡
We wish the Disney Conservation Fund a happy 30th Birthday!

✨ Appreciating Champions of Conservation, Health & Education ✨

From May 3rd–5th, 2026, Kibale Forest Schools Program/The Kasiisi Project organized a memorable retreat tour to Murchison Falls National Park in appreciation of the outstanding Senior Men, Senior Women, and Wildlife Club Patrons who scored 85% and above in the 2025 patrons’ assessment.

Special recognition also goes to Mituuli School — the only school that successfully hosted the Conservation and Health Showcasing Event — for their remarkable commitment and contribution! 👏🏾

During the retreat, participants explored the breathtaking beauty of Uganda’s wildlife and natural heritage through:
🚤 A boat ride along the River Nile
🌊 A visit to the magnificent Murchison Falls
🦒 Exciting game drives featuring elephants, giraffes, rhinos, and more incredible wildlife

This retreat was not only a reward but also a celebration of dedication to conservation, environmental stewardship, and community impact around Kibale National Park.
We deeply appreciate your continued efforts to protect nature and inspire future generations to value conservation. Together, we are creating lasting change for people and wildlife alike. 🌱🐘

🌍🌱 Earth Day 2026: Our Power, Our Planet 🌱🌍

This Earth Day (April 22), we’re proud to celebrate in a way that reflects our deep commitment to the environment and future generations.
The Kibale Forest Schools Program / Kasiisi Project is planting 15,000 trees—a powerful step towards restoring ecosystems, protecting biodiversity, and supporting sustainable communities.

This year’s Earth Day theme, “Our Power, Our Planet,” reminds us that collective action matters and real change starts with all of us. Every tree planted is a step toward a healthier planet and a more sustainable future.

🌳 Why it matters:
• Restores critical forest habitats
• Supports wildlife conservation
• Engages students and communities in environmental stewardship
• Helps combat climate change

Together, we’re turning action into impact—one tree at a time.
📍 Follow along as we celebrate and take action!

We are incredibly proud to share that 10 outstanding candidates from our partner schools around were selected following their exceptional performance in the Primary Leaving Exams. 🎓✨
Last month (February), these bright young students took part in a second round of exams and interviews with our Scholarship Committee—each one competing for a place in our 2026 scholarship cohort.
💡 The selected students will receive 100% coverage of boarding school tuition for all six years of secondary education.
