🇺🇸 A veteran’s final salute depends on someone willing to stand in their honor. Does that sound like you?

Help carry this tradition forward by joining your local volunteer Honor Guard. Contact a nearby American Legion, VFW, or veterans organization, ask about eligibility, and learn how to get involved. Requirements vary by team… and support roles may be available too.

Share this post with someone who would proudly answer the call.

Stand Tall. Honor All.

Happy 251st birthday to the United States Navy from Texas VFW!

On October 13, 1775, the Continental Congress authorized two armed vessels to intercept ships carrying supplies to the British Army, marking the beginning of the Continental Navy and the origins of today’s U.S. Navy.

Today, we salute the Sailors who serve and the Navy veterans who carry that pride into our Posts and communities across Texas. Thank you for your service, your camaraderie, and the sea stories that somehow get better every year.
