We had a wonderful time meeting the 9th graduating class of the Elevate program on Thursday night. Full Circle Venue was a great setting for us with some amazing food. Our participants provided desserts of their choice. We are so proud of our graduates and look forward to where the future will take them. The second half of YLT's Opening Retreat was ran by Program Coordinator, Brian Priess. The focus was on what courageous leadership looks like, group work and setting expectations for themselves.

Youth Leadership Tomorrow has officially kicked off!

This morning YLT Class 30 started off the day with Carlos Barcenas with iChoosePurple to learn about getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. At the end of the day, we are all more alike than not! This afternoon they will learn about Courageous Leadership and Self Compassion - The Most Important Leadership Skill.

Last night we got to celebrate the hard work of Elevate Grand Island's Class 9 with their Graduation Ceremony 🎓

It has been an honor to watch them learn, grow, challenge themselves, and build connections with one another. We are proud of all their bravery in stepping up to enhance their leadership. Each one of them has invested their time, energy, and themselves into this experience and it was a privilege to recognize their accomplishments. They are an asset to our community, and we are glad to have them here!

We hope they take what they've learned, the relationships they've built and the confidence they've gained and carry those things with them into their workplace, their families and our community.

Our last Elevate Grand Island was focused on Safety. Thank you to the 911 Center, Grand Island Police Department, Hall County Sheriff's Department, and Grand Island Fire Department for educating out Elevate Grand Island class on public safety in our community. We appreciate you!

This week Elevate Grand Island learned about their communication skills through the DISC Assessment thanks to Anita Foor with Development 412. They also learned about nonprofits in our community.
