The Young Professionals Organization is dedicated to cultivating a young, vibrant, professional community in the Grand Island area by providing networking, volunteer and educational opportunities. Membership in the Young Professionals is open to those 21 through 40, but anyone who views themselves as “young” is welcome to join. A “professional” is one who makes a living in a professional capacity such as lawyers, executive assistants, educators, business owners and any others who see themselves as professional.

2027 YP Committee Applications Are Open!

Looking to get more involved with Grand Island Young Professionals in 2027? We're looking for members who want to take on a bigger role in planning events, bringing new ideas to the table, and helping make GI YP a great organization for young professionals in our community.

Serving on the YP Committee is a great opportunity to meet new people, build leadership skills, and have a voice in the events and programs we offer throughout the year. Whether you're interested in professional development, social events, community outreach, or simply want to get more involved, there's a place for you.

Join the Grand Island Young Professionals Group as we celebrate our 20th Anniversary!

This special evening will also replace our Annual Member BBQ this year as we come together to celebrate 20 years of connection, growth, and community. We’re excited to welcome guest speaker Courtney G***k for an evening of celebration, networking, and recognition.

Schedule:
5:30 PM | Social Hour
6:30 PM | Program Begins

Enjoy a great night with heavy appetizers, drinks, and awards as we recognize members who consistently go above and beyond in our group.

This event is open exclusively to Grand Island Young Professionals members. Members are welcome to bring one guest, please be sure to include your guest when you RSVP so we can plan accordingly for food and beverages.

Attire: Business casual. Feel free to dress up for the occasion if you’d like!

We hope to see you there as we celebrate 20 years of Grand Island Young Professionals!

Our YP's had a great time attending the 9th Annual GRACE Gala hosted by the GRACE Cancer Foundation!

It was a wonderful evening supporting the Grace Cancer Foundation and the incredible work they do for individuals and families facing cancer right here in Central Nebraska. We're always grateful for opportunities to get out in the community, support local organizations, and be part of events that make a difference.

We wrapped up our YP Mayoral Candidate series this afternoon with Ryan O'Neill for Mayor!

It was great to hear more about his vision for Grand Island and what he hopes to see for our community moving forward. We appreciate everyone who took the time to join us and be part of the conversation.

As we get ready to celebrate this exciting milestone, we want to take a moment to recognize the people who have helped make YP what it is today. Over the years, so many individuals have given their time, support, leadership, and energy to YP, and want to celebrate the impact they've made.

Nominate someone who has gone above and beyond and deserves to be recognized with a YP award!

A few important things to keep in mind:
• Self-nominations are not permitted
• Current YP members who were recognized as part of the 2026 Top 35 Under 35 class are not eligible to receive a YP Award this year
• YP Alumni are eligible to nominated for the YP Legacy Award

Help us recognize the individuals who have played a meaningful role in shaping YP and our community!
