Last call for book club on Thursday, June 18, 5:30pm!! Our June book is The Lion Women of Tehran by Marjan Kamali, and we are meeting at a private residence in Otisville. RSVP to [email protected] for the address.

On a related fun note, our first book meeting last year, God of the Woods by Liz Moore, is now being filmed at our very own Harriman State Park! Local WBAOSC members have family participating in the filming and also supported the legal work to make this filming happen!

Perhaps an encore Book Club book/viewing gathering is in order in the future? 😃📚🎥🍿

Beautiful evening celebrating WBAOSC’s esteemed awardees and installation of 2026-2027 officers and directors!

Congratulations to Judge Carol Klein (FCJ, AJSC, ret.) on her Elaine Slobod Lifetime Achievement Award, Judge Jose-Decker (3rd Judicial District Administrative Judge) on her Rose Rosen Award, and Paul Weber, Esq., Christopher Brennan Sevier, Esq., and Eli Siems, Esq. as Liberty Bell recipients!

Heartfelt thank you to Amanda Sevier, Esq. for her wonderful leadership as WBAOSC President 2025-2026, and congratulations to all the newly installed officers and directors of WBAOSC 2026-2027, including Susie C. Sohn, Esq. as WBAOSC President 2026-2027.

What a weekend at Convention 2026 at the Woodcliff Resort & Spa in Rochester! WBAOSC had such a spectacular time celebrating amongst our chapter members, seeing old Orange-Sullivan chapter friends, meeting new ones from our sister WBASNY chapters from across the state, hearing inspiring stories and speeches — and there might have been a friendly and also intensely competitive annual game of Trivial Pursuit somewhere there in the mix.

How triple special to have a WBASNY president, a Doris S. Hoffman Medal award winner, and a Hanna S. Cohn Pro Bono Award winner — all from members of our very own small but mighty chapter! Heartfelt congratulations again to our long-time and dedicated members Lisa Noroian, Esq., Maureen Crush, Esq. and Barbara Strauss, Esq. on their veritable “triple crown” event.

We look forward to a wonderful year with Rebekah Nellis Kennedy, Esq. as WBASNY president and Convention again next year!
