We have a delicious fall menu planned:

We are taking preorders for a delicious selection of accompaniments to take your Thanksgiving feast to the next level. We've got everything but the turkey - soups, stock, stuffing, sides, breads, desserts, and more.

In addition to new sides and pies, we're also offering a Thanksgiving Chicken Dinner complete with a whole rotisserie chicken, truffle stuffing, gravy, truffle mashed potatoes, creamed greens, and beach plum sauce - the perfect size for more intimate gatherings!

Plus, check out our housemade syrups (delicious for mixing with soda water or in festive cocktails) and a holiday health tea kit. Both make lovely host/hostess gifts.

🍄 Mushrooms are popping up all over the farm!

A flush like this is a sign of a living, active soil ecosystem. And it doesn't happen by accident:

🌳 AOOA Is home to 600 varieties of trees and shrubs, which give fungi roots to partner with and leaves to feed on
🍂 We leave leaf litter and woody debris to break down where they fall
🚫 We never spray fungicides or synthetic chemicals that harm soil life
🐑 Rotational grazing and year-round cover keep the soil fed and protected

What you see above ground is just the tip of the iceberg. Each mushroom is the fruiting body of a vast underground network called mycelium, fine fungal threads weaving through the soil, breaking down leaf litter and wood into rich organic matter, and in many cases partnering with tree and plant roots to trade water and nutrients.

Healthy fungi → healthy soil → healthy plants → healthy food on your plate.

Come walk the farm and see what's popping up!

Farmers' Update 👩🏼‍🌾

You know fall is here when you see heirloom pumpkins, winter squash, and decorative gourds all around the farm. 🎃

And with the shift in scenery comes a shift in our work, too. This time of year is a welcome respite for us farmers, a chance to change gears and appreciate all the hard work we put in through the summer. The pace slows, but it doesn't stop: we're busy getting ready for our first frost, bulk harvesting, hanging flowers in the barn to dry, and gathering herbs to be stripped, dehydrated, and turned into teas and syrups for the months ahead.

It's a beautiful season to come see it for yourself. Walk the farm and take in the changing colors of the trees, then head to the eatery for all the cozy fall flavors that come with this time of year!

P.S. 🐸 Our amphibian friends are still out and about. Check out this beautiful toad who was hanging out in our cabbage patch!

Join artist-in-residence alum Jenny Torino (.torino) for a night of creating with a great bunch of crafters.

You can either bring your own project or try something new with materials and crafting supplies we provide. You'll be in great company!

There will also be live music and delicious food and drinks on the menu.
