❤️My brother passed away in 2020 from an overdose.
❤️I was spiraling in despair on how to manage my grief.
❤️I threw a fundraiser to raise funds for the dog rescue that helped bring his dog of 15 years to me.
❤️I opened a nonprofit to help others in need in his honor and memory
❤️His dog passed away a couple years later and I started feeling regression in my grief journey.
❤️I started saying yes to every request for help from others that came to me, even furniture.
❤️Helping others was helping me walk with grief and gratitude.
❤️I found Lillian Dugan she helped me start a free grief group and we have been running it together over a year now.
❤️She suggested looking into grief education
❤️I felt a strong passion for grief education and coaching and Im now certified.
❤️I opened Hudson Valley Grief Services because I was ready to walk beside others and guide them through their grief journey.
❤️I am watching others grow in such beautiful directions mentally, emotionally and physically its the most beautiful thing to be a part of…

Waiting in an MRI facility for my daughter to come out.

There is a woman limping who was told she had a balance and couldn’t be seen for the two scans she needed until she paid it. She started crying, receptionist said “ can you give anything towards your balance or we cant see you for your scan today.

She cried and said I think I can give you five dollars but I dont get paid until next week.
They took her five dollars and she limped crying to the chair to wait to be called.

- when they called her in, I paid her bill and the receptionist couldn’t understand why, she was in awe… my daughter knew what I was doing and just smiled.

I told the receptionist “ tell her I said to go home and enjoy her evening.”

Then I said “ promise me when you get the
Opportunity to help someone, you will.”
She smiled

More furniture being donated to care management teams, we just go with the flow in the summer time.. always happy to find a home for unused items when we can.

Support comes in so many different forms because none of us have the same situation. “Go with the flow” in advocacy work takes a special perspective and personality. It takes gentle assertiveness and calm steady approach, it takes a balance between love and anger to equal motivation. It takes a balance between “ We got this and I got you”
- Seans Dream started because of the balance between love and grief, they work together in everything we do. We say yes and no to things, we work really hard with a group of people or sometimes its just us and one…
No matter who, how many or why… the answer is simply they need help and chose to ask for it.
So we keep trying… we keep going one foot after another…. One day at a time.
