We are a interfaith Food Pantry, helping those in the Goshen School District, that could use our helping hand, by distributing food to those in need. The Goshen Ecumenical Food Pantry now has Food Drop Off Locations for donations of Food at The Goshen Library and Kennett Gymnastics.

We like to do the occasional surprise pop-up project to share some ❤️ at the Pantry. So many of you share so generously with us, and you do so to make things just a little easier for others.

Meet Dayna Mejias of Mean Dogs. She parks her cart on South Plank Rd. in Newburgh, but has some good Goshen ties. This isn’t the first time she has helped us out, because she’s a rock star. Her lovely and very fun friend Jinny helped her tonight.

All the dogs- all you want, all the fixings, chips and drinks. She fed our client friends, those walking by, and others that ‘our’ Connie Rose invited via a quick FB post. We fed our amazing adult and kid volunteers- the kids RAN when we did the last call for them. Grinning just typing that…

Goshen, we can easily count all the ways we love this town- in this case a few hundred hot dogs or more. Dayna, we just can’t thank you (and Jinny) enough. Same time next year. Save the date.

(In the meantime, we’ll start working on the next crazy good idea. We may have one brewing- you know us- that we’ll need a little help with, which we KNOW will work, because we live here with all of you.) ❤️

Cereal and jarred and canned tomato products, among other things, have been in very short supply at our (otherwise absolutely excellent) Food Bank over the last several months.
John was able to get 21 cases of cereal today- what a score- and what I’ve pictured and much more, along with tomato sauce, was shared by ShopRite this past week. We could not do this without our Partners in Caring there. So generous, always…

We had a crew of our usual 6 strong and good regular guys pick up 2000 pounds this morning at 8, and a really terrific group of kids and some good moms tonight at 5. Quite a few new kids, which is great- we owe NJHS advisor at CJH Christine Huber Guerrier a debt of thanks for encouraging them to help.
When we say we were GROSS at the end of our shift on the third floor that is an understatement. YIKES. TMI, sorry, and I wish we didn’t I forget to tell them to grab waters from our fridge. Next time!

This community gets amazing things done, and we do it together.
