A fresh pair of sneakers for a new school year. 👟💙

For the third year, our friends at Together Gloucester, Inc. have helped children on Wellspring’s stabilization caseloads head back to school with brand-new sneakers, donating 50 pairs this year and more than 175 pairs over the past three years!

We’re so grateful to Together Gloucester for continuing to show up for local families, season after season. Thank you for being such a wonderful partner!

Sometimes, getting involved starts with simply looking for a way to connect.

When Ruben and Elizabeth moved to Cape Ann, volunteering was one way they chose to get to know their new community. They started at Wellspring in 2023 and today, you’ll find them volunteering with our ESOL program and in Wellspring’s gardens.

For them, volunteering has become as much about the people they’ve met as the work itself.

“We feel strongly that volunteering is an essential way for us to show up for those in our community who need support.”

Thank you to Rockland Trust and the Rockland Trust Foundation for a $10,000 grant supporting Wellspring’s Healthcare Office Support Training (HOST) program!

HOST combines tuition-free healthcare administration training with hands-on internships and support that helps participants stay focused on their goals, including assistance with childcare, transportation, and housing.

Last year, 89% of HOST participants graduated, and graduates saw an average wage increase of 32%.

We’re grateful to Rockland Trust for investing in HOST and helping participants build the skills, experience, and support to move forward in their careers.

Appreciation in full bloom! 🌻💐

Wellspring's Homelessness Prevention team recently joined our friends at Three Sisters Garden Project for a special event, where they had the chance to meet up with some of the many people behind the fresh, organic produce they share with Wellspring families throughout the growing season, and the homemade soups that keep coming through the winter.

We’re so grateful for this partnership and for the care that goes into everything Three Sisters shares with our community.

This fall, we’re launching a new in-kind giving program focused on the everyday essentials that can add up quickly for families working toward financial stability.

From toiletries and household supplies to linens and other essentials, providing the basics can mean one less expense to worry about and more room in a family’s budget for rent, utilities, food, transportation, and other priorities.

Thank you to M&T Bank and The M&T Charitable Foundation for a $7,500 grant supporting Wellspring’s Healthcare Office Support Training (HOST) program!

Support through HOST doesn’t end at graduation. Alumni can continue working with Wellspring through one-to-one career advising as they navigate their next steps, pursue new opportunities, and grow in their careers.

Among HOST alumni who returned for career advising, 64% reached a major milestone, including earning a promotion or raise.
