Don’t let Hughey's small size fool you! He is a fun-loving, energetic little guy who’s always ready for his next adventure. Hughey loves his toys, enjoys spending time with people, and is a happy, outgoing pup with plenty of personality. He even joined us for our Tails on the Trails event and kept right up during the entire two-mile hike like a champ!

Hughey would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a playful little buddy to join them on walks, enjoy playtime, and share in everyday adventures. He’d do best in a home with older, dog-savvy kids who understand how to respect his space. Hughey has luxating patellas, a common condition in small dogs that just means his kneecaps move a bit more than they should, but that isn't currently causing him any issues.

Come meet this little adventurer!

One final THANK YOU to for helping to plan our walk route, mark trails, and set up water and first aid stations for our "Tails on the Trails" presented by last weekend! Your assistance was invaluable to making sure our event was successful!

Additional thanks to K&D Signs and Lettering for the beautiful Start/Finish Banner, trail marker signs, and printing our walk t-shirts, the Cape Ann YMCA for donating a 3-month family membership to our walk raffle, and all of the volunteers who helped at registration, water stations, and otherwise made the day a lot of fun! As always, we are so thankful to have a paw-some community behind us.

Happy Tails, Cooper! 💕 This cutie arrived at the shelter in August from North Carolina, and now he's thriving and living the city life!

"We wanted to send you a little update on Cooper!

He is doing really well and is still just as adorable, joyful, and friendly with everyone he meets. He has basically become the star of our neighborhood. He absolutely loves people and gets attention everywhere he goes.

Thank you again for bringing Cooper into our lives and for everything you did for him before he came home with us.

He is growing incredibly fast and is already around 25 lbs!"

Meet Jelly Donut & Lemon Curd!

These sisters are as sweet as the treats they are named after! They have been with us since June and have come such a long way in foster. Once shy girls, they're now playful, curious, affectionate, and have even become great buddies with the dogs in their foster home. 💕

They'd love to find a home together, but can also be adopted separately. And after waiting so patiently for their people, their adoption fees have been waived to hopefully help them find their forever homes!

So grab your coffee and consider adding a Jelly Donut or a little Lemon Curd to your morning…

Donut let these girls wait any longer! 🍩
