Big shoutout to our friends at Cell Signaling Technology, Inc. and GenerousGardeners for helping out with the shelter grounds!

Volunteers from Generous Gardeners helped to assemble a gazebo at the shelter to provide lovely shade in an outdoor seating area, and employees from Cell Signaling helped to w**d and clear out some of our garden areas! We're so excited to have some of our outdoor areas in tip top shape just in time for some gorgeous weather! 💕 Thank you!

A puppy in a pool - Daisy is ready to beat the heat! This adorable 5-month-old girl from Puerto Rico is full of puppy charm, with a playful spirit and a heart full of love. She enjoys making new friends, exploring the world around her, and soaking up all the attention she can get. June is Adopt A Cat Month! Buddy is hoping June is his month after a rough few. This handsome 6-year-old super senior came to the shelter after a house fire displaced his owners and family. Buddy is an affectionate, sweet boy who has lived with another cat and dog before. He is often seen lazing around his cage or napping, and he loves snacking on churus and other treats.

Buddy's most endearing features are his slightly curled ears, a direct result of excessive scarring from a previous ear mite infection. He is completely healed but could potentially be more susceptible to ear infections in the future. Regardless, he's a gorgeous boy with a lot of love to give! 💕

Happy Tails to 70 animals who went home in May! 10-year-old Fred found his retirement home filled with other furry friends. Special thanks to Adoption Program sponsor Tile By Design for making happy tails like Fred's possible!

"He acclimated to his room fast, then was lonely. He and the dogs were at opposite sides of the door for a bit but he was crying to come out. So I told the girls to stay put and Fred explored the room, then hopped on the couch w/us. Lol. He will sleep separately at night until everyone is comfortable. but he's happy! He's been in 3 different windows enjoying fresh air and finally gave himself a little bath 🙏🤍 "

Some pawtraits turn out gallery-worthy. Others are hilariously questionable. Every single one is unique, and all proceeds help support the animals at Cape Ann Animal Aid.

5/30/26 REUNITED!! Billy in Manchester was found safely by Phil with On Mission Drone. Thanks to Phil for helping him!!
He was hung up on the rocks by his leash and they had to go up and get him.
