STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Kathy Hernandez - Director of Foster Care Programs

LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger honored Kathy Hernandez, FosterAll’s Director of Foster Care Programs, for her service to her community. For over a decade, Kathy has connected with hundreds of faith partners to recruit and retain foster families for FosterAll. She also volunteers with the Pasadena Police Department, helping build trust between law enforcement and the community. “No task is too small for Kathy,” said Supervisor Kathryn Barger in remarks recognizing Hernandez. Her dedication, perseverance, and compassion reflect the values she learned from generations of family.

During the recognition, Hernandez spoke proudly about her Hispanic heritage and the influence of her family. Her grandfather immigrated from Oaxaca, Mexico, served in the U.S. military, and instilled the values of hard work, resilience, and steadfast faith. Her father, a retired Marine, carried those lessons forward and taught her the importance of sacrifice and service to others.

We are so proud of Kathy and this well deserved honor.

When a whole community shows up for foster youth, something magic happens.

At our special evening honoring foster moms, community leaders from across Southern California gathered to celebrate the foster families at the heart of FosterAll's work.

From furnishing beds to throwing graduation celebrations for young adults in extended foster care, this community shows up for every need at every milestone.

Thank you to every sponsor, partner, and supporter who makes it all possible.

Wonderful stories were shared at our special evening honoring foster moms. The FosterAll community is a place families always belong, through Christmas traditions that kids look forward to all year, milestones big and small, and all the years of watching children and families grow together.
Thank you to the foster families, donors, and partners who made this night possible.
