Gleason Rotary Club was able to honor Mr. Edgar Lee Floyd for his years of service as a Rotarian. This man is a true example of service before self, commitment, and everything a Rotarian should be! He continues to lead our group in the right path with a smile on his face. Congratulations and thank you, Mr. Floyd!

We are going to use the gazelle grounds for the fundraiser tomorrow with the forecast of rain. The touch a truck and 5k are going to be postponed. The band will be playing at the gazelle grounds and food will be served. The silent auction will be held in the fellowship hall at the Methodist Church. Thank you all for the help and thank you for the patience with trying to work around the rain. Please help pass the word! Let’s have a great event for Will, Chasney, and Mighty Maverick!

President Nick Davis was sworn in back in July by outgoing President Brittany Mitchell. New officers and board members were also sworn in.

We were honored to have Eric Smith with us on Monday night. He shared details about Shop with Sheriff Smith and Justice. This annual event provides Christmas for up 70 children in Weakley County. It was inspiring to hear how the program has grown over the years and how so many local businesses, organizations, and individuals support this endeavor. Eric saw a need in the community and he started a movement! Gleason Rotary gives him and this organization our full support and we encourage you to get involved as well.

The Gleason Rotary Club feels completely honored to be the Grand Marshal of the 2026 Tater Town Special. The Gleason Gazelles do so much to bring this event to our community year after year. It’s a time for everyone to gather and make memories with the people they love in the town we all cherish. The Gazelles are working hard to improve their grounds to make the events even better!

We want to help them in their efforts by hosting an alumni softball tournament and grilling a delicious pork loin dinner on Saturday evening after the parade. You can also show your support to these wonderful ladies who continue to give back to our community by buying your ticket today!
