While you were sleeping, another day was already beginning at the Weakley County Agriculture Complex. 🌅

This is where the next generation of farmers, leaders and agricultural professionals is growing every day. Support your local agriculture education and FFA programs—their work reaches far beyond the classroom and helps keep our communities strong.

💙💛 Dresden FFA’s 2nd Annual Back to School Bash! 💛💙

On August 28th, Dresden FFA hosted our 2nd Annual Back to School Bash at the Agricultural Complex and Greenhouse!

Our FFA officers led several fun and interactive stations designed to help students learn more about agriculture, FFA, and the many opportunities our chapter has to offer. Each station included games and activities, and there were plenty of laughs and good times throughout the evening!

🌭 We would like to give a special THANK YOU to our advisor, Mr. Jon Holden, and Mrs. Kristin Holden for preparing and cooking the food and helping make the event a success. We truly appreciate everything they do to support Dresden FFA and our students!

🎟️ Throughout the event, students also had opportunities to earn tickets for a chance to win some great prizes. Eleven lucky students walked away with gift cards, Dresden FFA T-shirts, or some awesome jams and jellies!

Events like our Back to School Bash are a great way to bring students together, build friendships, introduce new members to FFA, and kick off another exciting school year.

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make our 2nd Annual Back to School Bash a success! We are looking forward to a great year with Dresden FFA! 💙💛🌱🚜

On August 11th Dresden FFA traveled to our local courthouse to continue a long-standing chapter tradition of caring for some of our community’s important landmarks.

Our members carefully washed the Ned R. McWherter statue and the World War I and World War II monument. Students also took extra time to polish the Ned R. McWherter statue and make sure each memorial received the care and respect it deserves.

We would like to thank the Town of Dresden for allowing us the opportunity to serve our community, our FFA members who volunteered their time and hard work, Mr. Jon Holden for providing the supplies, and Weakley County Mayor Dale Hutcherson for coming out and working alongside our students to help wash the monuments.

This is a community service project that Dresden FFA has proudly carried out twice a year for many years. It is important to our chapter that our members understand the value of giving back, taking pride in their community, and showing appreciation for the people and history that have helped shape Dresden and Weakley County.

We are proud to continue this tradition and proud of our members for demonstrating what Living to Serve truly means! 💙💛

☀️ Summer may be coming to an end, but the Dresden FFA chapter and advisors have been anything but idle!

This summer has been filled with hard work, learning, leadership, and preparation for another incredible year. Here’s just a glimpse of what we’ve been up to:

💙 Camp Clements
⭐ Officer Retreat
🌸 Planting and maintaining the flowerbeds at the DHS Greenhouse and in front of Dresden High School
🧽 Cleaning and washing down the greenhouse
🏡 Working on improvements at the Dresden FFA Alumni Center
📚 Attending the TAAE Conference to grow professionally and bring new ideas back to our students
🛠️ Cleaning and organizing the agriculture shop and classroom
📋 Preparing lessons, activities, and opportunities for the upcoming school year
🚜 Visiting students and checking on their SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) projects

It’s been a busy summer, but every project, meeting, and opportunity has been worth it as we prepare for another exciting year of growing leaders, building skills, and making memories.

We can’t wait to welcome our students back and see what this new school year has in store for Dresden FFA! Here’s to another year of learning to do, doing to learn, earning to live, and living to serve. 💙💛
