💭When we started The Community Rescue Project, we never imagined what it would grow into.
This week, after one person offered a suggestion, we realized something: maybe we don't share enough of what actually happens behind the scenes.
So here's a glimpse into just one week at our rescue:
🐾 3 microchip research cases
🐾 1 dog reunited with their owner
🐾 3 stray dogs trapped/contained
🐾 12 new dogs taken into our care
🐾 5 dogs transported for veterinary care
🐾 4 dogs transported for grooming
🐾 2 dogs pulled from county shelters and safely transported to Casa Grande
🐾 Ongoing care for all of our short and long-term foster dogs
🐾 Assisted with 3 lost dog cases in our community
🐾 Helped place 5 stray dogs that never entered our rescue
🐾 Provided engraved ID tags for multiple reunited dogs
🐾 Matched at least 9 additional lost dogs with their found posts
And that's only a glimpse for what we can remember! 🤣
❤️No two weeks ever look the same, but for a small team, we're incredibly proud of what we're able to accomplish. Every morning starts with dozens of Facebook tags, messages, and calls, and we never know what the day will bring. Every evening, we're grateful for the trust our community places in us.
This isn't about bragging—it's about transparency. 🫶 We want our community to know where our time, energy, and resources go. Our mission has always been to be an asset for stray, abandoned, and high-risk dogs, and none of it would be possible without our amazing fosters, volunteers, donors, and rescue partners. Whether a dog needs medical care, grooming, behavioral support, or simply a safe place to land, our village shows up every single time.
🚐We're currently fundraising for a dedicated transport vehicle that will help us safely trap large dogs and transport our foster dogs to appointments and rescue partners. We have some exciting fundraising events coming soon, so stay tuned!
