Secretariat won the Kentucky Derby more than 50 years ago, and somehow he’s still in this year’s race.

Of the 20 horses in today’s Derby field, 19 are direct descendants of Secretariat.

That means Big Red’s bloodline still dominates the biggest race in America, more than five decades after setting records that still haven’t been broken.

Only one horse in the field comes from outside the Secretariat family tree.

Different horse. Same shadow.

That’s not just legacy. That’s immortality. 🐎🔥

Yes it’s happening! This Saturday is our Sock Hop party! Our Post broke ground in February 1950, so we try and bring back the good ol days! It was a hit last year!

I’m sure there will be drink specials but dress in your 50’s best!
Starts at 6pm

With great honor and appreciation, the American Knuckleheads Motorcycle Association presented our legionnaires with a donation of $5,000 from their 30/30 raffle. For the past two years, the American Knuckleheads have consistently supported our post—not only through direct financial contributions, but also by shopping for and assisting families in need throughout our community.

The American Knuckleheads Motorcycle Association is a dedicated group of veterans and patriots driven by a shared commitment to serve those who have served our nation. Their mission is to support veterans of the Armed Forces through charitable giving, community outreach, and steadfast camaraderie.
