Real Women. Real Voices.

For this special evening, Brightly Living Foundation has partnered with Amplify Voices, an organization dedicated to empowering individuals to use their voices and lived experiences to create meaningful change. Through Amplify’s storytelling work, participating survivors are guided through a process of discovering, shaping, and sharing their stories while finding the words to express not only what they have been through, but who they are becoming because of it.

Whether you are a breast cancer survivor, currently navigating treatment, a family member, a friend, a healthcare professional, a breast cancer nonprofit, or simply a supporter, we want YOU there.

Come listen to these women and celebrate their courage while being inspired by their resilience. Most importantly, come learn what survivorship can really look like. These are real women with real voices and real stories worth hearing.

Today is World Breast Cancer Research Day. 8/18. This day was chosen specifically for the 1 in 8 women that will be diagnosed with breast cancer. I often say that statistic seems much higher these days. But we need research. We don’t just want women to simply “survive”. We want them to live brightly beyond breast cancer. This is why research matters as it brings us better treatment options, and better medications with fewer side effects.

Here’s to research, more funding, better treatments, and more women getting MORE tomorrows. 💗

I think we’ve all said it, cancer changes you. Not just physically, but emotionally too.

Maybe for you healing isn’t about going back to who you were before cancer. Maybe it’s about learning to embrace who you are now, and finding peace in who you’re becoming.

Reminding you to be gentle with yourself and to give yourself time and space to heal.💗

In 2023, Laura had the opportunity to be a part of Amplify Voices’ 90-day program to develop a message and an 8 min talk about her journey beyond breast cancer. She shares, “The entire experience was empowering and healing for me as I processed my cancer journey, discovered a message I wanted to share, learned skills to use my voice and write a talk, and, most importantly, became a part of a safe, supportive community of women who had also been affected by breast cancer. A big part of who I am today was shaped by my experience with Amplify.”

So we are thrilled to let you all know about our recent partnership with Amplify to continue this amazing opportunity.
