Tidelands Community Hospice had an amazing evening at the theater! Our staff, board members, volunteers and friends from the community gathered for opening night of "Grace and Glorie" presented by Swamp Fox Players at The Strand Theater in Georgetown.
We laughed, we cried and we felt every emotion. It was a truly beautiful performance.
We are proud to be a community partner and highly recommend making a night of it. Enjoy dinner on Front Street, then head over to The Strand Theater to see this fabulous play. You won't want to miss it. Performances run through 6/21/26.

Please join us in congratulating Tidelands Community Hospice 2026 Mary Atmar Johnson Scholarship recipients!

Mary Atmar Johnson was one of the dedicated community volunteers who alongside members of the medical profession, helped bring a vision to life, a comprehensive program offering care, comfort, and support to individuals facing life-limiting illnesses. Thanks to these inspiring grassroots efforts, Tidelands Community Hospice was licensed in March 1985 as one of the first nonprofit hospices in South Carolina.

To honor Mary and our founding members, and to carry forward their legacy of compassion and commitment, the Mary Atmar Johnson Scholarship was created.

Each year several $1,000 scholarships are awarded to students pursuing (or planning to pursue) careers in nursing or social work.
