The Heart Society of Gaston County We are a local independent organization. We have been a United Way of Gaston County partner agency since 1982.

Our mission is to increase awareness of heart disease, to promote heart healthy lifestyles, and to provide services to local heart patients.

West Bend Insurance Company recently presented their Spirit of the Silver Lining Award to Watson Insurance Agency, included was a grant to the Heart Society of Gaston County. The Spirit of the Silver Lining Award honors West Bend agents and the nonprofit organizations they support, for their dedication to delivering a silver lining to those in need.

Walter Gray, a longtime Heart Society Board Member and Business Insurance Sales Manager for Watson, facilitated securing the award. Watson Insurance Agency’s support of the Heart Society spans decades and significantly impacts the Heart Society’s ability to serve Gaston County.
