Sherwood Elementary PTO would like to echo the importance of helping our mornings run smoothly:
🚌 Please have students ready and waiting at the bus stop on time
🕒 Arrive early if your child plans to eat breakfast so they can start their day stress-free
📋 Be sure to complete any required health forms before the September 10 deadline

We appreciate our amazing bus drivers, staff, and families for working together to support our students’ success each day!

Good evening Sherwood Elementary School Families!

This is Mrs. Cochran with some important Sherwood announcements.

-All Bus Riders: Parents, the expectation is that your child is at the BUS STOP when the bus arrives. The driver will not wait for you to run down the street or out of the house. Many students are walking out of the house when the bus arrives, which is slowing our buses down in the morning. This causes them to arrive later than usual to the school, which makes them eat breakfast later. We appreciate our drivers, and when our students are not ready and waiting at the bus stop, our drivers are late getting to their high school routes, too.

-New Bus: Starting Monday, August 31, we will have a new bus for our Laurel East/Fern Forest areas. This will be Bus 84. Please be outside and on the lookout for the bus at 6:25AM.

-Breakfast Tardies: Many student car riders are arriving late for breakfast and therefore, are marked tardy to class. Our breakfast cafeteria opens at 6:50AM. Please get your students here earlier if they need breakfast. This will ensure they have plenty of time to eat and are ready to learn in their classroom at 7:30AM.

-Health Exclusions: Ms. Banner, our health tech, recently sent home letters to those who are missing health assessments or updated immunization records. The exclusion date is September 10, which is quickly approaching. She will start making calls soon.

Our Lost & Found is filling up fast, and Ramsey found quite the pile! 🐏💙 If your student is missing a jacket, water bottle, or lunchbox, be sure to check it out.

📅 Items will be posted every Friday
⏳ Items are held for 7 days after posting
📦 Unclaimed items will then be donated

Help us keep Sherwood Elementary School organized and make sure your child’s belongings find their way home! 🏫✨

Our Lost & Found is filling up fast, and we need your help getting items back to their rightful owners!

🧥 Missing a jacket, hoodie, water bottle, or lunchbox? Be sure to check the Lost & Found regularly — you never know what you might find!

✅ **Helpful Tips for Families:**
• Label EVERYTHING with your child’s name
• Encourage your child to check the Lost & Found often
• Return items that don’t belong to you
• Pack only what’s needed each day
• Work together to keep track of belongings

📸 **NEW THIS YEAR!**
Ramsey will post all collected items on **Facebook every Friday night** so families can easily spot what belongs to them!

❤️ **Important Reminder:**
Items not claimed will be **donated to Goodwill** to help others in our community.
