Sherwood Elementary PTO would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Commissioners' School of Excellence, Keep Gastonia Beautiful, Inc., Lowe's Home Improvement, A+ Lawn Care & Landscaping, Inc., and T&S Lawn Care for their generous sponsorship, dedicated volunteers, and countless hours of hard work in support of **Phase 1 of the Sherwood Beautification Project**.

Because of your commitment to our school and community, we are taking meaningful steps toward creating an even more welcoming, beautiful, and inspiring environment for our students, staff, and families. Your support has helped turn ideas into action, and we couldn't have accomplished this milestone without you.

The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction is accepting applications for the new North Carolina Superintendent’s Parent Advisory Council. This council will give parents and caregivers a voice in helping shape the future of public education across our state by providing feedback and input on important educational initiatives. As we wrap up another fantastic school year, Sherwood Elementary PTO would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Marco's Pizza, Hungry Howie's Pizza, Texas Roadhouse, and Shane's Rib Shack- Gastonia for supporting our Eat Out Night fundraisers throughout the 2025–2026 school year.

Your generosity and partnership helped make a positive impact on our students, staff, and school community. Every meal purchased helped support programs, events, and opportunities that make Sherwood Elementary School such a special place.

Come join the Sherwood Elementary School Family!!

Welcome to Sherwood Elementary School! 🐏💙
We are so excited for you to become part of our Sherwood Ram family!

Before the school year begins, Ramsey will need to screen your student to help determine the best placement for their Kindergarten classroom.

📅 Screening Days: Every Thursday
🕘 Times: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM & 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
📆 Dates: June 4th – August 6th

Once you have registered your child for Kindergarten, please plan to visit the Sherwood office the following week for their screening.

⏱ Screenings take about 15 minutes and are first come, first served.

We can’t wait to meet our newest Rams! 💙💛

💙🐏 Attention Sherwood Families! 🐏💙

Nurse Peggy and Ramsey would like to remind all parents to pick up any student medication that is currently being stored in the school office.

📅 All medications must be picked up by June 4th.

⚠️ Any medication that has not been picked up by June 4th will be properly disposed of according to school guidelines.
