‼️Reminder ‼️
The NCWorks Career Center- Gaston County is closed tomorrow on Friday, 8/13. They will reopen on Monday, 8/17 at 8:00 AM.

The Career Center will be closed on August 14th for training. We apologize if this causes any inconveniences. You will still be able to utilize the Virtual Career Center at 855-629-6757. We will be open for normal operations on August 17th. Have a great weekend!

🧵 Where did the name Threads of Opportunity come from? 💡

If you've visited the NCWorks Career Center- Gaston County since October, you know that the office is located inside the historic Loray Mill. The name of this hiring event is a way to pay tribute to the incredible history of a place that once represented opportunity for thousands of Gaston County residents.

At its peak, Loray Mill was the region's largest textile mill under one roof, employing approximately 2,500 people. For generations, people came here to build careers, support their families, and create brighter futures.

While the opportunities have changed over the years, the purpose of this place remains the same—connecting people with opportunity.

NCWorks is proud to help individuals discover new careers, connect with local employers, explore education and training options, and take the next step toward their future.
