One of the best parts of our Annual Chamber Picnic with a Purpose? The surprise! 👀 Last year, Riley Black of Kiddie Academy of Gaithersburg, Patty Parenti of Asbury Methodist Village, and Virginia Tehrani of Tehrani Law LLC were surprised as our Exceptional Volunteer Awardees! We keep this year’s honorees under wraps until the day of the event, so you’ll have to join us Thursday, September 10 at Smokey Glen Farm Barbequers to see the announcements and reactions happen live! The Chamber’s Nonprofit Direct Connect group welcomed Rafael Murphy from the Montgomery County office of grants management to present last week about the county grant systems for FY 2027.

Rafael had a large audience, and we appreciate that he stayed to answer many questions!

Thank you very much to Bank and Dave West for sponsoring and hosting us! And thank you to Joey Chambers from our Foundation board of directors for helping to coordinate this program!
