🥁💃🏾 GREAT NEWS! WE'RE RETURNING TO LINCOLN PARK!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County for awarding Soul In Motion Players, Inc. a $12,000 grant to support our cultural arts programming!

We're thrilled to return to Lincoln Park Community Center with our African Dance & Drum Classes, bringing the rhythms, movement, culture, and community spirit that make these experiences so special!

Soul In Motion is growing roots in Frederick! 🥁

We’re excited to officially introduce The Frederick Initiative — our expanding commitment to building community in Frederick County through African drumming, dance, cultural education, mentorship, and collaboration.

From our growing relationship with Ayanna Gallant and Aya Cultural Arts Studio, to mentoring the AyaBabas African Drumming & Spoken Word Ensemble, connecting with local artists, and bringing rhythm into community spaces, something special is taking shape.

The Frederick Initiative is about more than performances. It’s about relationships, cultural exchange, mentorship, and bringing people together through rhythm and movement.

We’ve created a new page to share the story—and this is only the beginning.

We're excited to share that Soul In Motion Players, Inc. has been awarded a $7,000 Community Quality of Life Grant from the City of Takoma Park!

This funding will support our African Dance and Drum Community Workshop, bringing youth together through hands-on cultural arts experiences that celebrate African traditions, creativity, and community. We are grateful to the City of Takoma Park for investing in arts education and helping us inspire the next generation through the power of music, dance, and culture.

Great performance at the Children’s Theater in the Woods- Wolftrap to close out our Juneteenth 2026 season.
